What is Digital literature???

Digital literature or electronic literature is not like normal literature where you read paper pages from cover to cover. Electronic literature is of a digital format where the piece is available for anyone anywhere to view at any time instead of having the confined of business hours and time for them to get there.

            Digital literature is the next step for literature because this will allow it to grow beyond what normal paper books cannot do. In electronic literature the author can embed hyperlinks to other text to either expand on what they are talking about or explain what the meaning they are trying to get you to understand in their book. Electronic literature is growing and expanding already as some book only come in the electronic format and that some schools are already in the process of having all book be electronic for students. With this advancement in literature students no longer have to carry the heavy text books around to every class all day. The only thing necessary is a tablet or a laptop for student to be able to do all the school work that use to take up a backpack and weight 20 pounds. With the advancement in literature there is not telling what is not possible for the expansion in the field.
